Rock Party!

  • Laurel Park Improvement Association Warren, RI (map)

At the May community meeting, it was decided that members will help maintain the boat ramp by tossing rocks that got washed onto the beach back onto the ramp. This was a recurring comment from the member survey from last fall, so let’s fix it!

Head down to the beach wearing sturdy water shoes or boots and gloves. Once the rocks go back to their rightful place, we’ll be able to estimate how much rip-rap and filler gravel will be needed to make the surface walkable. We could use 5-10 bodies per weekend session. Many hands make light work.

This event is scheduled around a King low tide at 9:30AM and will continue on Sunday, starting at 10:30AM. On Monday, for those who just can’t get enough action, 11:15AM. The lowest tide of the week is Tuesday, June 24th at 12:15PM. With any luck, we’ll have the whole project done by July 4th!

Thank you in advance for your help. Refreshments will be provided.
